Job Position: Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate – Blue Ribbon
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring products are accurately received and distributed. The role includes picking, packing, shipping, receiving, unpacking, and verifying incoming materials.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining safety and accuracy in all warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, seal, and label products for shipment.
- Prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx, and LTL carriers.
- Receive incoming shipments, unpack materials, and verify quantities and condition of items.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Record and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory within designated areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate supplies of shipping materials.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist other departments with material movement or inventory needs when necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 40+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred for shipping and receiving documentation.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience is a plus but not required.
- Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse environment and may require working around moving equipment and forklifts
