Job Position: Quality Inspector II

Position Summary

Under general supervision, A Quality Inspector II is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended
specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Inspect machined metal parts and incoming bar stock for GP:50 machining
services.
• Perform First Article Inspection Report (FAIR).
• Maintain logs pertaining to the job function.
• Perform inspection of mechanical and electrical parts and materials for
specification and purchase order conformity.
• Inspect finished goods.
• Ensure that all documents that require special attention are compliant and
accurate.
• Create Material Review Reports (MRR) when necessary.
• Inspect welded components, soldering and component installations when
required.
• Review output data and paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
• Data entry and use of Microsoft software.
• Use of calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and optical comparators to measure
machined components.

Equipment to be used

Computer and software, Optical Comparator, 10X and 30X optical microscope, Gauge Blocks, Micrometers, and calipers – both digital and analog, Depth Gauges, Dial Indicators, Thread Gauges, and Pin Gauges.

Qualifications

•Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year accredited college or technical school or minimum two years proven work experience
