Job Position: CNC Machinist
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing shop. This position is hands-on and focused on setup, operation, and quality production of precision parts.
Key Responsibilities
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Load tools, set offsets, and prove out jobs
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
- Make minor program edits at the machine (G-code)
- Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
SKILLS:
- Ability to read prints/drawings.
- Ability to use standard measurement tools with accuracy.
- Basic math skills including some trigonometry.
- Ability to take direction and work well within a group.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years CNC machining experience (preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Experience with CNC lathes
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals
- Reliable, punctual, and quality-driven
Preferred (Not Required)
- Programming experience
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Tooling and fixture knowledge
