Job Position: Digital Technician
Position Summary
The Digital Technician is responsible for assisting the development of digital output pressure and temperature transducers and transmitters. The Digital Technician takes direction from the Digital Supervisor to assist in the development and implementation of digital protocols. This person assists on the building of prototype digital units, testing new and existing digital units. The Digital Technician is responsible for calibration of digital units including but not limited to calibration testing, as well as final calibration runs of the units with data recording for calibration card entries.
Key Responsibilities
- Build prototype units per engineering requirements.
- Carry out testing procedures.
- Collect data and input data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
- Read literature including data sheets, manuals, work instructions, and procedures.
- Calibrate units.
- Record data for calibration documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma. AAS Degree a plus. 2 years’ experience with H.S. Diploma, 1 years’ experience with AAS Degree. Must have experience in at least one or all of the following areas: Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Technology, Digital Technology, Digital Systems and Electronic Assembly. Computer Technology a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Computers, including basic computer skills and operation.
- Electronics, including an understanding of basic electronic concepts with a focus on digital electronics.
- An understanding of digital systems and terminology.
- Basic soldering skills including surface mount and hole soldering techniques.
- Electronic assembly
