Job Position: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Accounts Receivable Clerk maintains the accounts receivable, places calls to customers for overdue payments and follows up with customers regarding shorted payments.

Key Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Accounts Receivable Clerk maintains the accounts receivable, places calls to customers for overdue payments and follows up with customers regarding shorted payments.

PRINCIPAL TASKS:
•Customer Invoicing
•Maintain various accounting related Excel spreadsheets.
•Complete necessary forms.
•Filing.
•Answer phones when receptionist is away from desk.
•Assist with other projects as needed.
•Maintain various customer portals.
•Maintains customer sales tax exemption certificates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
AAS degree in Accounting and one year experience or two years related experience with an automated accounting system. Computer skills must include Microsoft products, Excel, and knowledge of ERP systems.

SKILLS:
•Basic personal computer skills including email, word processing and spreadsheet.
•Ability to communicate with courtesy and tact both verbally and in writing.
•Handle multiple tasks with speed and accuracy.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
•Personal computer.
•Typical office equipment (ex. Telephone, calculator, copier and fax machine).

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Must be able to sit 7 hours and provide transportation to and from work for self on regular basis.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
•Must be able to do simple math calculations, prioritize multiple tasks and meet time deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
•Clean, indoor office setting.
•Must work Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 with some overtime and weekends.
